WHO WE ARE

The Presbyterian Church of Easton is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and through our denomination we are connected with other churches of the Reformed tradition and the universal church of Jesus Christ. We believe that God calls us to expand and strengthen our efforts to provide vital Christian worship, education, and nurture for our members and for individuals and families in our area who seek a church home.  We also believe that we are called to be a church in mission reaching out to others through our acts of love and service.

OUR HISTORY

In 1958 the New Castle Presbytery planted a new church development in Talbot County with Easton as the center of operation.  Worshippers first gathered at the Talbottown Shopping Center and  moved into the Stevens Building on N. Harrison St. as the congregation grew.  In June 1960 the church broke ground for its church building on N. Washington St.  The official opening for this building was April 16, 1961.  2008 signifies our 50th anniversary celebration of fifty years of worship, Christian education, and community service.

OUR CORE VALUES

Love:
We seek to follow the Jesus’ command to love God and love one another.
Inclusiveness:
We welcome everyone.
Integrity:
We seek to treat people with honesty and uprightness; we hold true to our own beliefs while being considerate of those with differing beliefs.
Spiritual growth:
We desire to see people to mature in their Christian walk with God.
Caring:
We will live out our faith by caring for others especially those in need.
